An Update

Its been some time since the last post. Neil is doing quite well. He has become very strongwilled and when he decides he does not want to do something that's IT! We have been trying to get Neil out and about more often. Lesley has taken him for walks on the beach and Janet and I took Neil to the Two Oceans Aquarium. If you have not been I can recommend it. It was the third time that I have been.

Neil seemed to enjoy it, but when we left, he said his leg was so sore that if felt like a shark had bitten it!!!

Neil still comes up with the good ones sometimes!!!!

Update

Neil went to see the eye guy yesterday and he ran a whole battery of tests. He wants to see Neil again in 4 months. At this stage he has not prescibed any corrective lenses or other treatments. It was found that there are areas in Neil's peripheral vision that are not working. The doc said thta this might come right over time.

Emails to Neil

Thanks to those of you sending emails to Neil. He seems rather unmotivated to use the computer right now. So that why you have not bee getting responses. Ido check the emails so I know when he gets new ones. Hopefully soon he will sit in front of the computer at home. So you can continue sending these messages to Neil and I will relay them to him.

Neil At Home Again

Neil is home again. Neil came home today at about 14h30 and all is well. The spinal fusion went succesfully and he will be required to wear a neck brace for the next three months or so. Apart from that Neil is fine. When Neil is feeling up to it I am going to get him to post some stuff here.

For those of you who might have tried to email neil at his old email address, you would have fond it not to be working. I am sure it will not be long before Neil is able and willing to sit in fromt of the PC to communicate with the world at large. In anticipation of this event I have made sure that his new email address is working properly. Neil to be dischraged on Friday

Neil will most likely be discharged on Friday. Dad spoke to the neuro and the problem is with Neils not passing urine properly. As soon as that is sorted he will be ready to go home.
